At Laxton Designs, we offer a holistic service that can be engaged at any stage of your project, with different fee structures available to suit your needs. We break each project into four key phases: Concept Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration. We also provide Interior Design Services and Styling which can be engaged independently, or in conjunction with our other building phases. Key Project Phases

Concept Design
We will work with you to develop a number of concept designs based on your brief and ongoing feedback. This stage will include plans, sections, elevations, and 3D perspectives of the proposed design.

Design Development
The concept designs created by us (or others) will be further developed to suit your needs and to ensure compliance with the relevant codes and planning regulations required to submit a Development Application (DA) through the relevant planning authority.

Construction Documentation
Following Development Approval, the drawings will be progressed to a level of detail required for a builder to submit a tender on the building works. This will include further development of the drawings, as well as construction details and specification schedules for fixtures and finishes.

Contract Administration
We will act as the lead consultant to manage the construction process by regularly visiting the site, liaising with trades and providing further details where necessary. We will ensure that the design integrity is maintained and generally administer the contact between you and the builder.

Interior Design & Styling
We complete the overall vision of your project by providing a comprehensive Interior Design package, including wall and floor coverings, furniture, art, additional lighting, window treatments and styling.
